My name is Leonardo, a not-so-typical Italian guy living in Helsinki, Finland since 2019.

I am currently working in Varian Finland in the Radiation Physics group as a Research Scientist.

I am a Doctoral Candidate at Aalto University 🇫🇮 and a former member of the Acoustics Lab. As part of the Audio Signal Processing Research Group 🎧 I worked on time-scale modification, transient modeling and audio peak reduction, supervised by Prof. Vesa Välimäki. I will defend my dissertation titled "Audio Decomposition for Time Stretching" on May 24th, 2024.

I studied at the University of Brescia 🇮🇹, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and my Master of Science in Communication Technologies and Multimedia.

When I am not busy watching movies, reading sci-fi novels or saving the world, I play for Helsinki Rugby Club 🏉, coach the Women 15s National Team, and write songs for my bands Fuego & Shiver and EntropicaMente 🎤🎶.
